Campus reference map

As Urban Designers, it is imperitive we learn the basics of map design. Before being introduced to ArcGIS, we first needed to understand what makes maps readable. We learned the importance of colors, line hierchy and understandable legends. This map was made completely on Adobe Illustrator, using Google Maps as reference for map creation. We were instructed to bring the reader’s attention to Hayes Hall—the school’s Architecture and Planning Building.

Knowing what I know now, there is much I would change. Considering this was my first map and without my knowledge of ArcGIS, I am still very proud of he result.
